FBL OGM at the White Swan inn at Barton interchange from 6pm. Members and their invited guests only, please. NB Change of date from 19th November.

Substantial changes to the Barton line timetable take effect as from today.

Saturday 17th January
FBL New Year meal at the Green Man inn at Stallingborough from 13:30. Contact chairman@bartonrail.org.uk to reserve a place at the table.
Tuesday 27th January
Illustrated slide show entitled The Doncaster Rail Rover by acclaimed speaker and long-time FBL member Stephen Gay for the East Midlands Branch of the RCTS at the Nottingham Mechanics, 3 North Sherwood Street, Nottingham, NG1 4EZ. Doors open 13:30 for 14:00 start. Cooked lunches and snacks available from 12:00. Everyone welcome, a small admission charge for non members.
Monday 9th February
A talk to Barrow History Study Group by Andrew Robinson entitled The Rise of New Holland. All are welcome but there is a charge of £5 for non-members. The talk will be held in the Vicar's Room (to the south of the church) at Barrow at 7.30pm. The talk will expand on the subjects Andrew mentioned on his guided walk with plenty of images of the railway and ferries etc.
