From 14th December, there will be a major timetable change.
A morning Nottingham - Grimsby Town train will call at Stallingborough, Healing and Great Coates, giving these stations an 07:59 arrival into Grimsby.
The majority of Barton Line trains will no longer call at Grimsby Docks and New Clee. EMR hope that by doing this, the timetable will have more recovery time, allowing the timetable to be recovered without the need for terminating trains short of their destination. The 07:51 Barton - Cleethorpes and 17:10 Cleethorpes - Barton will still call at all stations at our request to cater for Grimsby Docks commuter traffic and New Clee Saturday football traffic. We did ask for an additional afternoon call at Grimsby Docks following passenger feedback but were unsuccessful.
Barton Line trains will be retimed throughout the day, giving improved connections at Habrough from all Barton Line stations to and from TPE services for Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool.
The Grimsby - Lincoln - Leicester service will be replaced by a 2 hourly Cleethorpes - Lincoln - Matlock service. Intercity commections will be available at Nottingham at Leicester, giving a slightly shorter overall journey time. The Cleethorpes - Matlock service will stop at New Clee and Grimsby Docks, replacing the Barton Line service at these stations. These services will run in the opposite hour to the current service, meaning the loss of the evening peak 17:33 departure from Lincoln to Grimsby. Services will have a regular 10 minute connection at Lincoln into and out of London services.
There is no major change to Brigg Line or Cleethorpes - Liverpool services.
