TSSA - Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association have announced that they are balloting their members in operational management grades TransPennine Express Trains for industrial action.
The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) have entered into dispute with EMR following assaults on staff.

National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) members working for TransPennine Express Trains will take strike action on Sundays 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th October 2026. This will affect services from Cleethorpes, Grimsby Town and Habrough to Doncaster, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool.

Note on Sunday 18th October Cleethorpes - Lincoln - Matlock services will also be replaced by buses between Cleethorpes and Lincoln Central due to planned engineering works.
